How do I register for the citizenship test?
You don't register completely freely. Registration is linked to your citizenship case, and you need to wait for information from the authorities.

This is the most common question about the test — and the one with the most misunderstandings. The citizenship test is not a test you book whenever you feel like it, like a driving theory test slot.
Here's how the process works
- You have a Swedish citizenship case with Migrationsverket.
- You receive information that you need to show your knowledge.
- When a registration period is open, you sign up for a test date.
- You receive a summons (kallelse) with date, time, and location.
- You take the test.
